Overview
Visitoz is a thriving award-winning business providing residential farm work training and placement services to young workers and working holiday workers from overseas.
We seek enthusiastic, cheerful customer service focused personalities to join a professional minded and focused team aiming to deliver a high standard of customer service and experience based on a small farm near Gympie in SE Queensland.
These positions are most likely suit to Australians with experience of farmwork, office work and administration experience, use of interactive databases and computers.
The position / positions are most likely to suit an individual but may suit a couple or even a pair of friends.
Great potential for progression to more responsibility.
The positions are residential with food and accommodation provided. For working holiday visa holders, it may be eligible for 2nd working holiday visa qualification.
Main duties
Office based co-ordination of communication between employers and potential employees, supporting and involved in our job placement service.
General practical assistance to the running, administration and training activities of the farm training programmes.
Day to day farm work duties including maintenance, improvement and the daily care and monitoring of small numbers of horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens.
Main skills / abilities required – OFFICE TASKS
Well organised, confident telephone manner
Assertive, proactive but sensitive organiser of young people and various admin and other tasks
Good computer skills, email handling and customer relationship database use
High standard of spoken and written English, most likely to suit a native English speaker.
Desirable skills / experience
Experience of employment and recruitment
Experience of farming, country living, horses and outback Australia
Main skills / abilities required – FARM AND TRAINING RELATED TASKS
Full driving licence, ability to learn to safely operate dirt bikes, quad bikes, tractors, utes and other farm vehicles, confidence around livestock and general farm / practical tasks
Ability to work under direct or indirect instruction, to use initiative.
Good spoken English, trustworthy, friendly and confident.
One full time or two part time positions available depending on skills and experience.
Full time permanent or part time employment, initial contract 5 months (until mid-December 2019) with potential continuation from mid-January 2020.
Most likely to be a live-in role with accommodation and food plus use of vehicles provided. Local applicants also welcome. Expect 3-5 nights per week, or permanent.
Flexibility can be offered for people with relevant skills and experience.
Located 1 hour inland from Gympie (close to Tansey/ Goomeri) in SE Queensland.
