FARM SKILLS TRAINER FOR BUSY FARM SKILLS TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT FARM
Experienced and personable all-rounder wanted as farm skills trainer for a busy award-winning training farm run overseas workers by Visitoz, a family business founded in 1991. (www.australianworkingadventures.com)
Main duties are to assist with leading and instructing young people age 18-30 from overseas in basic farm and station work skills, including use of motorbikes, horses, tractors, chainsaws, brush cutters, utes, quads, fencing, welding, sheep, cattle, and all other general farm tasks. Role also includes liaison with employers for the trainees.
Requires excellent communication and group management skills, good empathy with young people from a range of countries (speaking English) operational safety awareness, farming knowledge and experience, knowledge of related equipment and machinery.
May suit a male or female worker in mid 20’s–30’s wanting to develop group management, teaching and leadership skills with own career development in mind, but all ages considered.
Likely to be a catered live-in role 1-4 nights per week, but flexibility can be offered for the right person. Located 1 hour inland from Gympie (at Tansey/ Goomeri) SE Queensland.
Ideally start ASAP. Initial 6 month contract role until mid December 2019, potential for continuation from mid January 2020.
