It is a requirement to have appropriate Work and Travel Insurance while taking part in our progammes.
This is an essential part of a safe work and travel experience.
The financial burden of accidental injury can be extremely high, and we would not want this to impact you or your family's future in any way.
This should provide cover for the participant when performing manual and outdoor work, farm work, or work in any volunteering capacity. Typically the farm work component of this insurance should include work with livestock, other farm and domestic animals and use of farm vehicles, farm motorbikes, quad bikes, machinery, hand and power tools.
Most work and travel insurance policies include cover for recreational and adventurous activities such as sports, winter sports, tours and adventure activities such as kayaking, surfing, snorkelling and many others. Many do not include risks of physical work, so it is always worth checking the policy details.
Policies typically provide cover for lost or stolen property, cancellations etc. but, most importantly, provide medical and repatriation cover in case of injury or serious injury.
Your employer will also have insurances that cover you for work on his farm called Work Cover, including liability and use of equipment and machinery, etc providing it is done with their permission.

We have access to insurers whose policies meet these general conditions. You are not obliged to use these.

Medicare should be considered as additional to work and travel insurance.

We will be able to assist you with applying for Medicare if you are eligible.
Please note you will need to provide a valid EUROPEAN HEALTH CARD and / or National Health Service card as part of the application for this service.
