It is also essential to have awareness of the typical day to day requirements, understanding of the environment and a demonstrated aptitude and enthusiasm for the work and tasks involved.
If you have previous experience this should be supported with a reference or short report from your previous employer.

PLACEMENT SECTORS
Industry Placements for work experience, skill development, and workplace familiarisation.
Benefit from our Partnerships with leading hospitality groups based in Brisbane with numerous venues and a high quality training and work experience programme. The work experience placements are normally full time over a minimum of 2 weeks and account for 76 hours of placement and training activities. These are unpaid.
Should you excel in your placement you may be offered the opportunity to transition to a paid role within one of the businesses of the Industry Placement Provider. You can choose to develop skills and experience in various sectors.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE (PHASES)
The programme has 4 phases.
1. Arrival, welcome and set up phase
This is where we welcome you to Brisbane, set you up for work, and induct you to the programme.
Induction and set up can take up to 1 week before starting
This can include training for RSA and Food handling certificates if required.
Accommodation can be provided at cost in Brisbane City Centre within easy walking distance.
2. Work experience & training
This is the on site work experience and training. The normal duration is 2 weeks.
The aim is to give you thorough and real hands on experience of the tasks and day to day routines.
Accommodation can be provided at cost within easy walking distance.
3. Profile Promotion and Job search
We have an extensive and growing network of hospitality employers to whom we will promote your online profile.
The work experience provider is Mantle group.
They will provide feedback and a report on your performance that can be added to your profile.
If your performance is good they may be able to consider you for any role with their organisation.
Provided you have successfully completed the work experience / training and gained a positive report from the trainers / supervisors, we anticipate being able to find you a hospitality role within 1-2 weeks of the completion of the work experience.
4. Support phase (including 2nd job placement if required)
Our ongoing support phase can last from 3-12 months.

COSTS AND BOOKINGS PROCESS
The costs of the programme will vary depending on your exact requirements.

- Workplace admin and set up support if required.
- Hostel accommodation from $50 per night. There are different hostel options. These are normally self catering.
- These can be booked independently or through our programme.
- Accredited Training Certificates (online or in person training) can be arranged independently or though our programme.
