Sponsored Internship Special Programme Visa
Visa Number 408
This is a working visa for one year sponsored by Visitoz. The programme gives the Sponsored participant the opportunity to work in Australia for up to 12 months. Visitoz has been operating this programme since 2000.
Objectives...agricultural and rural career development
The main objectives are to share good farming practice across international borders, and for the participant to gain experience and skills and personal professional development.
Who is it for?
This special programme visa has been specifically for those who have grown up on a farm, trained or worked in agriculture or veterinary science. It is also available to those who are very good horse riders, agricultural mechanics, diesel engineers or experienced in other branches of agriculture such as aquaculture or agricultural tourism.
The age range is currently 18-30, and couples with children may take part.
The agricultural section is available to most countries of the world as listed below. Citizens of other countries may apply if they are agricultural graduates.
It may also be available again to young people with other skills and qualifications for work in rural areas, such as nurses, teachers, construction workers, hospitality and tourism workers and any branch of adventure tourism, such as sailing and diving instructors, and for high end hospitality roles.

How it works?
The application process may take 3-6 months to complete.
The first step is to enquire using by using the button below, also uploading a copy of your CV / resume.
A process of completing forms and gathering a number of supporting documents follows, and these are collated and submitted by Visitoz. When the visa is granted the participant will need to be ready to travel to Australia within 1 year of the visa grant date.
The Employer and Job selection process
Based on the application information provided by the participant Visitoz will secure a provisional offer of employment from one of our many employers. This offer will be aligned to their personal and professional development aims.
This offer will be communicated to the participant during the application process when the visa application is submitted. On rare occasions when the position is no longer available when the participant arrives in Australia Visitoz is able ensure that one or more suitable back up positions are available.
Pay and Conditions...
Employment is normally expected to be for 12 months, with normal statutory holiday breaks as required.
Accommodation and food is normally provided by the employer and small deductions may be made from gross pay to cover this provision.
Starting pay rates are at the statutory minimum wage 'award' rates. Typically this means take home pay of just under $500 per week after food and accommodation and tax at 15% have been deducted, based on a 40 hour week (18 and 19 year olds are paid at 80% and 90% of this rate respectively).
Generally speaking it is relatively easy to save money while working in rural Australia. There is not much to spend your money on. Savings of $2,000 per month are quite realistic, and significantly more money can be earned when more hours are available at busy times such as the harvest, sowing or other times of high work rate. Good workers with good skills are very likely to be offered extra hours when available.
What is included?
Visitoz is developing a web page containing all the forms that are required to complete the visa application.
This can be accessed using the page link below. Please note it is still work in progress.
