Trade Skills

Our network of employers are always on the lookout for skilled and experienced tradesmen who can use their skills and apply themselves to general farm work as well. This includes welders, mechanics, machinery operators, carpenters, roofers, plumbers, electricians, boilermakers and trained cooks.

The trade skills programme allows you to use your workplace skills and experience in rural and outback Australia. It is designed for applicants with previous relevant education, training and work experience.

The main aim of these programmes is professional development. You can expect to significantly develop your professional and personal skills. They also give you the chance to see the world and experience something different, fun and challenging.

Farm work will also allow you to save for future travels. There are not many opportunities to spend money when you are working on an Australian farm.

Likely Take Home Wages

Australian wages are some of the most generous in the world.
Good workers quickly get paid well over minimum wages. The amounts below give you an idea of the minimum take home pay after food, tax and accommodation. Because you live and work on the farm you can expect to be able to save most of your wages.

Minimum potential take home earnings in 11 months work in the range approx $22,000 - $40,000
Minimum potential take home earnings 3 months work in the range approx $6,000 - $11,000
